The belgian daily De Standaard reports that a Luc Michel is responsible for building a network that spreads Russian and anti-Western propaganda in Africa. “This man describes himself as a Stalinist and claims that he runs his business out of love for Russia”, quote De Standard.

In 2014, Michel traveled to Ukraine for his organization Eurasian Observatory for Democracy and Elections to legitimize the illegal referendums on the annexation of the regions of Lugansk, Donetsk and Crimea to Russia as a potential observer of the elections.
